Post Configurator help
Hi there, I've made a little mistake and need help to correct it.

A long time ago i put my Optimus Maximus keyboard back in it's box to protect it whilst decorating.
I have just unpacked it again and started setting it up.
My mistake is that i have made a couple of changes to the "important stuff" layer and that is interfering with the programming of some keys in other layers.
I have tried un-installing then re-installing the configureator software but there must be files that are not being removed as configurator is remembering all the settings and layers.
How do i clear out all the settings from configurator and reset it?
I'm running Firmware 0.77d, Configurator Version 0.0.0.18 on a Windows7 Professional machine.
I'm studying Computing college so have some technical knowledge and can follow instructions should i need to edit the registry or anything else technical

Thanks in advance for any help.

Post Re: Configurator help
I didn't try it, but looking around in my installation (Win 7 like yours) I found this:

1) The program installed in the usual c:\Program Files\ProgramName directory

2) My user-custom data in the dir C:\Users\luis\AppData\Roaming\OptimusMaximus

So my guess to reset your OMC install would be:

1) uninstal OMC

2) remove (or better yet move away in a safe place) the contents of C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Roaming\OptimusMaximus

3) reinstall OMC

Thanks for that luis. :D
The roaming folder wasn't getting deleted at un-install.
one thing still seems out of place?
With configurator running the "\" key does not appear on the keyboard instead i have the "#" key.
Turn configurator off and i get the "\" and loose the "#" key.
not that it is a problem given the dynamic nature of the keyboard. :)

Sorry, no idea about that !

Try to check every layer at that key position, even the "read only" ones built from the OS keyboard layouts you have installed and see if you notice something out of place.

You could also try to install a new keyboard layout in your os (for example italian or french), activate it, exit and re-enter the OMC and see if the layout change accordingly. If the "#" + "/" bad behavior is not present restore your original layout in the OS and re-enter the OMC. Maybe can help, maybe not. I'm just guessing.

I've been sitting studing configurator and i think i have it figured out?
I've enclosed screenshots to help.
The "\" doesn't seem to be programed as active in any layer? in the screenshots : the area under the heading "all other layers show this."
When the keys look like that in configurator that means that they are un-assigned, look at the differance in appearance with those that have an assignment.
So although it looks like the "\" is available it isn't?
All the keys behave at all layers as they appear in configurator, and all keys seem to be present and correct. :)
I have added the "\" key ("|" with Shift) to the L10 key on the 'important stuff' layer so that it is always availble.
My needs for muliple and complicated layers is minimal as i do not do overly technical things anyway so this is satisfactory result.
