Post Windows 7 Compatability
Hi all

Just a note to let any of you who are wondering about Windows 7 compatability know that I have tested both the Optimus Maximus and the Mini Three on my newly installed os and there seems at present to be no problems at all. In fact all the key sequences are working as they should but I haven't tested everything yet.

One minor note to the Devs tho is to do with the ability to hide the Virtual drive on the maximus, which is not working, so something to look at in the future.

Thanks for letting us know. Optimus compatibility with Windows 7 was one of my main concerns about upgrading.

Post Re: Windows 7 Compatability
I have since noticed two bugs in the system now I've been running it for a bit, but as to why it happened I'm not sure.

While in the middle of setting up my machine the keyboard began to display a euro keyboard layout with hyphens above some of the letters. I checked the keyboard language and it was english uk, so I reset the optimus software (not the keyboard) and all was fine.

Also twice it has lost the passwords for my pop3 email buttons!

These may be just bugs so I'll monitor them further!

No. Things are very quiet on the Art front at the moment. It works but is a little buggy.

I have been running my OM on Win 7 64 bit exclusively 24/7 without a problem with the OS. Before I purchased my keyboard OM support advised me that everything was compatible and it is!

You know that Win 7 saves usernames / passwords in the registry (some, all a lot?) most in a *secret* key and if you utilize any of the "Registry Cleaners" or software that reclaims "lost" HHD space, it will nuke saved username / password nfo like shit going thru a goose.

It (Win 7) kept wiping my online banking nfo out and I damn near starved before I figured out that little *feature* that Micro$oft is proud of 'cause they are protecting our security! Gee, thanks.

Here we are in Feb of 2010 and I have been running Win 7 64 bit 24/7 with my Optimus Maximus for quite some time now and have yet to find or create any problem whatsoever. If you have been unsure about joining our special club of what one of my friends termed, "The Over The Toppers" due to questions about Win 7, worry no more. The baddest keyboard ever made is rock solid and worth every penny, 'nuff said.
