Post My keyboard stopped working again...
I'm having another problem! Now they keys aren't even powered on and I can't type. The keys are all black. Earlier today about 5 of the keys were looking strange, the letter on the key was way off center and tiling off the edge. I tried loading different layouts, but the keys were still messed up. So I unplugged the keyboard and plugged it back in. It never went through the startup sequence, the lights never flashed or anything. I manually reflashed the firmware with the MassDFU program, but it didn't fix anything.

What should I do?

That doesn't sound good at all! It might be an SD card failure.

Check the contents of the card in a card reader, or even if the card will load. The keyboard won't light without it!

Unplug the keyb, remove the usb, & remove the card. Replace the card, power the keyboard, but don't plug in the usb until you can see Shakespeare.

You might have to contact Artl support for help.

Everything appears to be fine on the SD card. No luck with your unplugging suggestion though.

There are only two things I know of that'll stop the keyboard from lighting up whilst unplugged from a usb.

SD card error, and miss installed key. Unless you have removed a key recently, or been smashing your keyboard in a blind rage! (at that price, unlikely) then I don't know! Maybe check the pins on the SD card slot, but I would send an e-mail off the Artlebedev support guys for help!

p.s. My SD card contains 348 files in 3 folders. (2.30Mb approx) just to check.

edit: If you need the contents let me know!

Last time my keyboard malfunctioned, they sent me a zip file with the default SD contents, so that's what I have on it now. This keyboard acts up way too much for the price.

Maybe! But I haven't had anything really serous happen to mine...

...YET ???!?!??? :|

I'm sure most of the problems are software, but thats still no excuse. E-mail them again, and get them to sort it!

I emailed them before I posted here. I usually get a faster response here though. Thanks for the tips, I'll keep the thread updated if anyone else has this happen.

Just thought! Try a different SD card, can't hurt! I know some SD card devices sometimes don't like certain cards??

Just plugged it in and it works again. I'm glad it works, but this is getting annoying.
