Post i need help with macros programing. help? samples?
i am trying to have lightroom keywords on as many keys as possible (conditionally; i don't want to screw with the short cut keys normal functioning) so i can keyword faster. i have to label a lot of photos. a lot. here is a sample of a macro that i can't get to work perfectly.

<command><k/></command></k>sunsets<enter></enter>

command k goes into the keyword field in light room. 'sunsets' being the keyword i want to enter in the field. the condition is caps lock during lightroom operation. it is so close but it hangs or it releases the caps lock. i want it fast so that i can add multiple keywords in quick succession.

where is a dictionary of scripting terms and structure for the optimus' macros? i understand it is xml. (?) but i don't program. any samples or links to them would be great.

To save starting another thread on same subject.....
I too would like help with macros.
For use with Windows Live Messenger i would like to be able to change my status at the touch of a button.
For example: to show as Away i would need to do "Alt+f, t, a" then to show as being Available "Alt+f,t,v"
How do i create these macros?

Thanks

I use simple hot keys. I programed one key to copy this way.
Key properties>Action>Function>Simple hotkeys
then enter the shortcut keys......Copy= ctrl+C.

You can use Autohotkey (www.autohotkey.com) to write scripts that does these things (send various keystrokes). Each script can be compiled into a .AHK file, or even an .EXE file, which you can then attach to a Optimus key.
