Configurator v19 suggestions
I was thinking that what we really need is a WoW addon that will auto populate some of the keys with the correct icons of the spells you have bound to them. It could start with the number keys and the icons on bar1. Later maybe being able to configure in the addon which bar to map icons for the number pad (where - and + on keypad are last 2 keys) and the application buttons on the left side of the keyboard (knowing that there are only 10 buttons, so the last 2 icons will not be represented on the keyboard).

Now I am not a programmer, but this doesn't seem to far fetched! I also think this could drive a lot of keyboard sales as there are over 12 MILLION WoW players, with disposable income and looking for an edge. (hint hint, Art.Lebedev Studio ;-)

Secondary brilliant thought... What if the graphics of the keys actually came from a piece of the actual monitor display. Maybe you could draw selection boxes on the screen as the live graphics for a button. That way the keys on the keyboard would always have the correct icon, even if you have in the game function changed based on in-game variables (such as if target is help or harm). This could also make the keyboard super useful for lots of other games without the need to do special programming or creating any in-game addon.
The best way I could think of for drawing the selection boxes and assigning them to keyboard button displays is through the use of a screenshot taken in-game and a special program of some kind.

What does everyone think? (also post other suggestions for next version of software)

Don't get me wrong, but I couldn't care less about WoW, Crisis, ATI or Nividia, PC or Mac. What I would request the Dev team work on is a more practical, robust, and easier way to customize the keys, no matter what they are used for. I'm NOT a programmer & never will be. The best I can do is batch files with old DOS commands or simple HTML code. Not CSS, C+, XML. This should be done on the KISS or Keep It Simple Stupid method.
All of us have invested a sizable chunk of $$ into this excellent product with the excitement of knowing that it, in essence, gives us 114 additional monitors that also can be assigned an action, WOW!!
I am sure that to take full advantage of all of the OM's capabilities, it would be best if we were all programmers but that simply is not the case and NEVER will be. So, there is an old Russian saying, " Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good" and it should apply here. Perfect would be all of us be programmers or Art Lebedev should provide us with templates of EVERY game and program no matter how silly the are. Good would be an interface that allowed us to create our own goodie & share with other OM owners but wasn't almost imposable to use! Layers, layer images, groups? Cool, but no documentation that helps us help ourselves and Art Lebedev by growing the user universe and allows for the creativity to easily be channeled into creating custom goodies no matter how cool, stupid or silly that they may be in the end.
In short: PLEASE give us a dynamic, robust, powerful and EASY to understand configurator and documentation.
Thanks for listening. Peace.

Good points!!! I revise my suggestion to:
Add the ability to make the image on the key a small selected area of the monitor. That way I can program the keys and the image on the key will always be correct since it is being taken live from the game. This, I'm sure, would be useful for many other applications. Heck, you could use it for things like Office, where the ribbon interface changes depending on what you have selected, so could the graphics on the key as it would be just a selected part of the screen/window.
